What is wireless internet?
Wireless internet is the ability to access the internet without the need for wires. (Phone lines or Coaxial cable.)
How does it work?
Wireless technology uses Radio Frequency (or RF) to transmit and receive information. It takes information from your computer and converts it into 64Byte chunks of data called ³packets². It then sends the packets over the wireless link. The other end then receives the data and reassembles the packets into the original data.
You Squared utilizes this technology. We put an antenna on your building that receives a wireless signal from one of our many towers in the tri-state area. To find out if You Squared is available in your area, Click Here.
Is You Squared Wireless secure?
It is. We use the latest Motorola Canopy equipment so the chipsets and signaling technology are proprietary. Also, all traffic that traverses the wireless link is encrypted with a 64bit key length algorithm rendering the data unreadable until it reaches the access point. How fast is it?
You Squared High Speed Wireless Internet is comparable to
DSL or Cable internet. The speeds range from 900kbps to 3500kbps depending on

Can I keep my AOL?
Yes you can keep your AOL and still use our service for high speed internet. You will need to order ³Bring your own access² from AOL for an extra charge.

How much does it cost?
Our prices depend on the amount of usage. For example, a residence will cost less then a business because a business will use more bandwidth. To find out specific pricing-
What about email?
Each new connection is entitled to 5 new email accounts. The new email addresses will be yourname@yousq.net. We will also help you set up each account on your computer. Or you can use our Web Mail: Click Here to use Web Mail.
What are your support policies?
We offer support 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you have downed service and its after normal business hours all you need to do is place a call to the main phone number and press 1, then leave a message. An on call support technician will return your call.
We support a wide variety of issues but the most common are email issues with Microsoft
Outlook and Outlook Express. We also support connectivity issues with your

Most of these support services are free of charge to our internet and web hosting customers.
How does You Squared compare to other internet services?
Our service is comparable to DSL and Cable internet. The speeds
are around the same or faster depending on where you are located. We extend our
service to many rural areas where Cable and DSL are not available. Click here for a map of our

Does You Squared protect theyıre customers from viruses
and spam?
We do. We have a very stable ³Virus and Spam filtering system² All traffic is checked and double checked for viruses. And all email is scanned for spam. We also offer a plug-in that You Squared customers can download and add to theyıre email client to filter unwanted emails. This plug-in uses Bayesian Filtering technology which enables it to remember your junk email and find clues that will help it identify future spam.
Will I be able to use VOIP with your service?
Yes. Voice over IP services can be used on any broadband connection.
Can VPN be used with your service?
Yes. We have many customers using Point to Point and Point to Multipoint Virtual Private Networks on our system.
